Devbhoomi Vikas Sansthan has been continuously working in the fields of education, environment, culture, sports, and social welfare. Our objective is to strengthen communities, create opportunities, and promote sustainable development.
Environmental Conservation and the “Gangdhara Campaign”
Through the “Gangdhara Campaign,” special initiatives were undertaken for the conservation and rejuvenation of the Ganga and its tributaries. The organization carried out a continuous 66-day cleanliness drive to make the Rishiparna River plastic-free. Students, social workers, yoga practitioners, and local citizens actively participated in this campaign. Nearly 400 students from 65 schools took part with the spirit of “My River, My Responsibility.”
The “Gangdhara Campaign” is now moving toward expansion to other rivers of Uttarakhand so that every stream may once again be filled with life.
Education and Cultural Development
Under the “Connect Youth with Education” campaign, students in 24 schools were encouraged to pursue quality education.
Through the “Super 20 Talent Examination,” free coaching for competitive examinations was initiated for meritorious students from rural government schools.
Under the “Sanskar Education Campaign,” moral values, discipline, and life skills were developed among children.
Sports and Youth Empowerment
Various sports competitions were organized to support the physical and mental development of youth. The “Veer Singh Thakur Memorial Football Tournament” promoted sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical fitness. Through sports activities, the organization helped youth develop confidence and leadership qualities.
Folk Art and Cultural Preservation
Continuous efforts were made to preserve and promote the folk art and cultural heritage of Uttarakhand. Performances were organized by renowned folk artists such as Jeet Singh Negi, Narendra Singh Negi, Pritam Bharatwan, folk singer Chandra Singh Rahi, Sangeeta Dhodiyal, and Krishna Mahipal, among others.
Youth were encouraged with the message: “One who forgets their culture loses their identity.”
